Condominiums emerge as Singapore property buyers’ choice of property investment
The iProperty Agent Survey 2016 revealed that most buyers are interested in owning a condominium than other property types. According to 58.9% of the surveyed real estate agents, buyers are more drawn to condos. Coming in second are HDB flats with 49.2% and followed by new launches with 32.4%.
Among the top Singapore locations, District 19 (Punggol, Sengkang, Serangoon) is the most desired area. This is followed by District 10 (Bukit Timah, Holland, Balmoral) and District 15 (Joo Chiat, Marine Parade, Katon) with 24.5% and 23.4% rates, respectively.
The survey also suggests that buyers are more likely to purchase a condo in Singapore depending on its price and not its location. Sellers, however, say that condos near MRT or bus stops affect the asking price of a condo.
