Malaysia property developer Berjaya Land’s executive director Datuk Pee Kang Seng appointed as CEO

Berjaya Land Bhd has appointed its executive director Datuk Pee Kang Seng @ Lim Kang Seng as its chief executive officer (CEO) from today.

This follows Datuk Ng Sooi Lai’s redesignation from CEO to non-executive director effective Dec 31, 2016.

In a filling to Bursa Malaysia, the group said Pee has over 40 years of professional experience in managing companies and creating values.

Pee, 65, has been Berjaya Land’s executive director since August 2016.

Pee, the group said, had served Amsteel Corporation Bhd as its group managing director from 2001, until his retirement in 2005.

“Upon his retirement, he had worked in senior positions for various other companies and also in the property development and construction industry,” it said.

From November 2011 to April 2013, Pee was Minetech Resources Bhd’s managing director, it added.

Berjaya Land’s share price closed unchanged at 61 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM3.04 billion. — theedgemarkets.com
